Welcome to Ayres Clark Theatre School & Maxine Everett

ACTS came to life in 2002 when Hilary Ayres and Emma Clark took over The Stage Door Theatre Group.   Maxine Everett joined us later in 2002 and later become a partner in the school when we decided that we would employ ex- professional performers as teachers to give its members the best start in dance, drama and singing.  We have evolved into a vibrant, energetic, friendly group where members who joined when they were 4 years old, are still with us at the age of 19 years!

Over the years we have improved the singing group into a highly entertaining group, singing musical theatre and pop songs.   We now have adults in the singing group, as well as adults dance classes.

We have shows at local theatres most years.

We recently took the decision to concentrate on older students, who might have danced when they were young, but gave up in lockdown, and now want to restart dance and feel that they would not be welcomed into an established class.  This would not happen at ACTS.  Everyone is made very welcome, whether they've never danced before or those that want to re-start after a break, to those that have danced since they were young, but want something different.
