About Us
Hilary Ayres and Emma Clark set up ACTS in 2002 to encourage children and adults to follow their dreams of performing. ACTS continues to expand and has produced some successful professional performers. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students to learn and grow.
Students have won places at Guildhall School of Music, Ballet Rambert, London Studios, Bodyworks, Millennium, Arts Educational and Urdang Academy.
Ashlee Irish our most recent success has been in many West End Shows including Dreamgirls, Tina, The Lion The Witch & the Wardrobe, Groundhog day and is soon to be seen in Hello Dolly at The Palladium. Ashlee visits us on a regular basis.
Other former pupils have performed in Harry Potter at The Palace Theatre, and one sings with The English Touring Opera.
MAXINE EVERETT BIRCH
HEAD OF DANCE
Graduated from Laine Theatre Arts, has had a full and rewarding career performing in top West End shows. A passionate and committed teacher, having coached dancing for over 20 years.
A full member of The British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD).
FAITH SCRUTON WHITE
SINGING
Graduated from Academy of Contemporary Music, and gained her PGCE from Middlesex University. Had a commendation from MX Masterclass. She has written and released an album and EP with her band ‘Borders’. She has sung with Michael Buble in a TV Christmas advert. Her experience in arranging songs for choirs and singing groups has been invaluable to ACTS. She also teaches individual singing and piano lessons.

TALLULAH BARRON
STUDENT DANCE TEACHER
Tallulah teaches junior street, and baby ballet. She has been a member of ACTS since the age of 6 and now enjoys passing on her dance knowledge to the younger members of the group.
